Journey with us to discover a life of peace and internal happiness.
LUCY FORSTING, M.A., Family Therapist/Reiki Master
As a child growing up in rural Indiana, I became aware of loss and unfilled dreams watching our pets die and family members live frustrating and anxious lives revolving around job losses. I knew I couldn’t “fix” these issues as a child but I did try to soothe the adults and peers in my life by focusing on what “could be” rather than what was. This became my path through college and graduate school at Lindenwood University in St Charles, Missouri. I could always see the potential in everyone rather than the limitations they placed upon themselves.
After graduate school, a large international corporation funded a program my business partner and I developed called “The Thinker’s Edge” which was designed to reduce recidivism in the prison population in St Louis, Missouri thereby reducing the taxpayer cost. It was here I began to see how a person’s thought process could sabotage their entire life.
Educating young minds as a college instructor of Psychology classes gave me another window to how the mind works. It also taught me how resilient a person can be if given the right tools in life.
A few years later, the owner of a prominent funeral home introduced me to yet another opportunity of helping people heal emotionally by allowing me to develop bereavement programs in his funeral homes. Additionally, I was able to educate funeral directors across America and help them understand the process of grief goes on long after the burial of their loved one. It was during this time I met my future husband and we later moved to northeast Wisconsin where I went on to establish Synergy Counseling Services with three other partners.
During my time in Wisconsin, Synergy Counseling Services established two satellite offices and became a primary provider for a major health insurance company. In addition to being President of Synergy, I was able to become heavily involved in the community. I became a regular presenter at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and also had a radio program where people could call in and ask questions pertaining to their personal life as well as more general concerns. Again, I was able to see where “faulty thinking” could take people down the proverbial rabbit hole of despair and loneliness.
Moving to Florida prior to retirement allowed me to see a different mental health perspective since my prior clients had been of the “walking wounded” variety. Now I had seriously troubled clients that had been forgotten by the “system”. They had nowhere to turn and no one to listen to them. However, the common thread was still people who were living a life based on faulty thinking. They didn’t realize their lives could change just by recognizing the “life story” they were telling themselves could be altered thereby changing who they were.
After completing training levels1-3, I am now a Reiki Master and combine energy work with therapy helping people see the true complexity of who we are as human beings. Once the foundation of their life is in place, the energetic “windows, doors, walls, electrical and plumbing support systems” can be put in place. Finally, the “design” can emerge and life can become this amazing and fulfilling destination everyone deserves to live.
I have written a children’s book called The Adventures of Miss Twiggs and Company to help kids of all ages better understand how we truly do create our own personal reality. As I now look at this book and our retreats, I can see how all of these programs and life stories can ultimately heal and rebuild not only one life but communities and finally our world one step at a time. Please join us on our journey of loving humanity back to wellness once again.

You have the POWER to create a life of JOY, MEANING, and UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
TREY MALICOAT, M.S., Narrative Therapist/Artist
In my early career as a therapist, I remember wondering why people never got better even after hours of counseling. I could blame myself for not being effective, but I actually think it is a much more insidious problem. People do not get better because they have personal narratives that keep them sick and in dis-ease. Modern day psychology has got it all wrong. People are much more than a diagnosis, label, treatment plan, and next appointment. Individuals are much more complex than the simple framework of modern psychology.
Over the last 20 years, I have studied and worked with hundreds of clients and over this time, perfected a model for helping people truly heal! By looking at the core wounds and painful experiences in life, you can identify core messages that drive your feelings and actions. These stories rule every aspect of your life. If you are suffering, it is time to discover the core wound and oppressive messages and liberate yourself from them.
I am clinically trained in Psychology and studied Social Constructionism and Acute Trauma. Social Constructionism is based on the premise that human beings create their REALITY; we form our world through what we believe and perceive. Acute Trauma is a very specialized form of therapy for people who have major catastrophes in their lives like bombings, plane crashes, suicides, and murder. In fact, I have participated in multiple in-field responses to many of the major social traumas like the Columbine High School Shooting, the attack on the World Trade Center, the Springfield High School shooting, and the PULSE Nightclub shooting in Orlando. In addition, I have worked individually with some of the most wounded people both as the Director of a Children's grief center, as an adjunct professor at Western Oregon and Oregon State University and the University of Denver, and as a private therapist.
Ten years ago, I began to write my current book and I developed a new model for rapid personal change. Instead of working with clients weekly for 12 sessions or more, I started doing DEEP-DIVE intensives over a three or four-day period. I work with the client in their own home or where they are most comfortable. The proof has been in the pudding and each of the clients has created a new life for themselves. After I worked with Michael for four days, he called me two weeks later after he returned from a two-week vacation. I was most honored when he said, "Trey when I got home from my vacation after our work together, I walked into my condo and realized that I didn't live there anymore. The old Michael was gone and a new Michael had arrived. Thanks so much for giving me the tools and understanding to change my life."
I am now a man on a mission to give 1,000,000 people the information, tools, and support they need to step fully out of suffering and step boldly into a life a purpose and joy. By the way, if we work together, you will FINALLY be able to liberate yourself from personal pain; every aspect of your life will change if you join me on this journey.
Just in case you are wondering about my presentation style, I am a storyteller and love to inspire. I am also a researcher and social observer. When I do a presentation, I am not a talking head, I am a master facilitator. Participants are engaged in a process of change. Over my career, I have worked with thousands of people connected to the brands on the left.
My partner of 13 years and our three dogs live in sunny Florida. In my free time, I love walking on the beach and painting in my studio. It is a pleasure to know you!
